I am using the DIY2 patches for a project in Vanilla and I am missing these two objects. xfm~ should be a complex fm abstraction that i can't find anywhere. sgn~ i think is a simple sign function at signal rate (I can reproduce that easily but just wanted to confirm that that is what it's doing). Can anyone direct me to find these objects or give me a breakdown of what they do so i can remake them with vanilla objects?

Finding xfm~ and sgn~ for vanilla

you can use the 'find externals' Help menu item to find missing externals.
When I look for 'xfm~' using this it brings up the 'creb' library. Doing so with 'sgn~' brings up zexy
edit: you can also use the deken website: https://deken.puredata.info/ -
you can also use [else/xmod2~] if you want/have it.
and what modules are you using? I am working on some eurorack inspired objects and I'm also looking into what DIY2 has, it was a nice thing when it came out.

i did look into zexy and creb, sgn~ is easy to replicate while xfm~ fails to load whenever i launch Pd via LibPd

@porres I am replicating all DIY2 modules since I am building a synth for Unity and I am looking for some simple ready to use modules to integrate into that. Might get more involved into custom module design later but for now those will do (so much work). The catch here is that LibPd can only use Vanilla.
I am not sure what you mean by [else/xmod2~]

You can use externals with LibPd though. The ELSE library runs in PlugData via LibPd.
[else/xmod2~] is the same as [xfm~]. I see the module is just a wrapper on top of. Do you really need all of these modules? It's also easy to build a cross modulation FM/PM patch in Vanilla. I show how to do it in my tutorial

@mic automatonism might be of interest, they are all vanilla abstractions, can be installed through deken or https://www.automatonism.com/the-software
