Hi,
I have an abstraction with a bunch of stuff that changes (including the GOP area) via dynamic patching whenever it gets a message from the parent patch. But whenever I send the message, the parent patch instantly switches to edit mode, which is unpleasant. Does anybody know if and how it's possible to avoid it, perhaps in the donecanvasdialog message?
Pd 0.49.1.

@whale-av Nice, so at this point it seems like there is no reason to use donecanvasdialog anymore, quite the opposite in fact.

I wonder what can be done with it?
The green bang stays showing on the parent even when it is deleted.
What else?
It seems the nested gop doesn't need to be lined up with the abstraction gop.
Yes, you can create a GOP in an abstraction or sub-patch..... hmm.zip

@whale-av You can force a canvas to be redrawn by sending [map 0, map 1( to it. This gets rid of any artifacts, like the green bang in this example: parent.pd

@weightless 0 1 2 still works for coords in 0.49 widows.

@ingox Ahh...... that makes sense.
"coords" is much cleaner than "donecanvasdialog", works even in extended (of course) and will be easier to use for popups...... and for choice selection by moving gop windows, which needed some dirty hacks to get working with donecanvasdialog..
I like it.
And artefacts can be removed without a "map" message to the parent by clearing and redrawing the graph, in similar fashion to donecanvasdialog......... gop_switch_coords.pd

Hi,
I have some trouble with gop_switch_coords.pd .
When I change coords and go back, I have trouble with the sliders hsl, vsl. other gui's are ok.
The mouse interacts with the slider (if you connect it to a number, you can see the changing value), but the display is not refreshed.

The workaround is to send a [map 0, map 1( message to the parent patch, but it'is difficult for me not to use [iemguts/sendcanvas] for doing that.

Donecanvasdialog doesn't work well with pd 0.50, when zooming = 2
