wintablet for Pd 64bit?
Hey sorry to bother you ! I'm a french student ( I started pd this year).
I hope you have now solved your problem. I'm trying to use my tablet "one by wacom" by taking the x-axis and y-axis values but I don't know how to get the wintablet object. If you have any ideas could you help me ?

wintablet for Pd 64bit?
I found a link to the [wintablet] external in this topic (third to last reply) and it works beautifully with my Wacom Intuos S but only in the 32 bit version of Pd. If I'd rather it be working in the 64 bit version of Pd, what are my options? Is it just a matter of recompiling it for 64 bit, or is it not that simple? Has someone done it already? Should I just give up and run the 32 bit version when I want tablet input and send OSC to the 64 bit process?

Something I did with a Wacom Bamboo tablet into a 10x10 set of drum voices, so as you "draw" it triggers the different drums.
Can already see a couple of rooms for improvement, ex. send abs_pressure in as the [hid] polling speed (inverted) so the harder you push the faster it polls/does the drumroll.
May it bring you a laugh, giggle, smile, or two.
Peace.

old wacom tablet on osx : How to disable mouse mode ?
Hello,
I have the same problem as here ( [https://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/topic/3619/multiple-mice-and-keyboards-as-hid-not-for-x-input/4](link url) ),
but for mac osx.
I get the data from an old wacom pen- tablet (graphire 4 / cte440) using hidio.
But is there a way to keep the mac operating system from using it as mouse input?
When I plug the tablet, it works out the box as a mouse, but I cannot access any configuration settings. The wacom drivers are outdated and do not work on newer osx versions.
I think I shoud do something with kextunload command, but I cannot figure which extension is driving the pen-tablet
Many thanks in advance .
[ I asked before on pdlist, codelab and puredata facebook forum, but no answers.
Am I the only one using a tablet on osx with puredata ? ]

[hid] can't run wacom Intuos 5 touch (OSX 10.12, pd-extended)
Hello,
I'm trying to use [hid] with my intuos 5 wacom tablet. I can get datas from mouse, joystick, keyboard, but not with Wacom intuos 5 tablet. I'm on pd-extended 0.43.4.
Thanks for any help !
Wacom tablet for Mac
@Simon2 I am new to Pd and saw you posted this about 8 years ago. I am trying to figure out how to use the wacom tablet with Pd. Any updates?
Multiple mice and keyboards as \[hid\] not for X input

I know I can target individual mice and keyboards with [hid] but is there a way to keep the linux Xserver from using them as input?
Old thread, I know, but for anyone else who stumbles upon it...
I think what you want is the `xinput` command. First, find out what devices you have:
$ xinput list
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Trackball id=8 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Wacom Intuos3 6x8 eraser id=9 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Wacom Intuos3 6x8 cursor id=10 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Wacom Intuos3 6x8 id=11 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse id=12 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)]
↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Power Button id=6 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Power Button id=7 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Unicomp Endura Keyboard id=13 [slave keyboard (3)]
You can detach the device, preventing it from controlling the X pointer/keyboard, by using `xinput float`, e.g.
$ xinput float "Logitech USB Trackball"
(or use its numeric ID.) The control stream will still come through via HID. In fact, you can use `xinput` to access the control stream as formatted text as well:
$ xinput test "Logitech USB Trackball"
motion a[0]=1176 a[1]=607
motion a[0]=1177 a[1]=608
motion a[0]=1177 a[1]=609
motion a[0]=1177 a[1]=610
button press 1
button release 1
The `xidump` command from the Linux Wacom Project can be used in a similar way.
To reattach the floated device and regain control of the X pointer:
$ xinput reattach "Logitech USB Trackball" "Virtual core pointer"
You can detach keyboard devices as well, but watch for the Enter key getting (virtually) stuck!
Patching a good reverb
Here's a pretty good reverb, it should be a "real" Lexicon algorithm (Concert Hall from the 224X, allegedly), but I can't confirm that. I've added a few enhancements. All necessary abstractions are included (and they may be useful on their own). It's definitely a step up from Schroeder-type algorithms. It's very synthetic sounding, but in a flattering way.
Here's the original: http://www.convexoptimization.com/wikimization/index.php/Dattorro_Convex_Optimization_of_a_Reverberator
It's not packaged as well as it could be, mainly because I'm trying to keep it in line with the original diagram. Of course it's possible to extend it further, but I'd rather start over with a new algorithm. This one has been taken about as far as is practical without sacrificing basic authenticity.
There's a lot of expr stuff, a couple non-Vanilla objects (lp8_cheb~ from iemlib), and possibly an implementation of a still valid patent (5553150, though I think there's some significant prior art that may render it unenforceable). And I don't guarantee that it won't kill your family. Use it at your own risk.
I have some fancier algorithms, but this one is nice sounding and reasonably efficient, so it gets a fair amount of use.
Drawing stuff on houses
hi emni!
its many patches.
for a virtual camera i use
gem engine, some abstractions i wrote for
3D stuff in gem
you can get it here
www.3rd-eye.at
this calculates coordinates for a cursor
(in this case wacom) and gives you 3D navigation in gem
for the drawing along the cursors track
i use some dynamic patching
a point P is drawn at current curserposition.
when the cursor is moved away by a specifyed lenght
a new point P1 and with it, a new patch is generated automatically with the coordinates of P and P1 (new position) as creation arguments . inside that patch, a line joins P + P1 in gem.
i hope this is understandable.
the trees is a generative algorythm i made up.
its one tree, spreading at different positions - grows, and then gets [snaped to tex]
just to grow somewhere else with new random values.
its really so many things in there...
Wacom Bamboo in PD on Windows 7
I have a wireless slate (not wacom) and it works fine under Win7 using the HIDIN object - X Y and pressure.
