Anyone still working on wacom / mac os x support?
I think I've read everything there is out there on this subject on mailing lists, forums, etc., but I'm so sad that it doesn't seem to be going anywhere that I just have to ask again. Is anyone still trying to get wacom intuos3 tablets working in pure data on mac os x?
I understand the problems, to a certain extent (e.g. wacom's whacked driver), although I'll freely admit that my low-level technical knowledge leaves off after a certain point. But it seems like it's so close. The wacom driver doesn't work with hid, but does work with various other mac os x software (e.g. photoshop), so I wonder how it might be possible to hijack the events these other programs are using...
Sorry, maybe I'm being too optimistic, but there's one particular project I'm working on where getting x/y, pressure, distance, tilt_x/tilt_y data would be so perfect it's beyond belief... far better than a wii. I'd be willing to put quite a bit of work into getting this done, so if there's anyone working on this and there's any way I can help, let me know.
Thanks,
Alex
Graphic tablet, wii on OSX
kaia, there has been a lot of talk about wii controllers on the mailing list, have a look thru the archives and you will probably find what you need to know. i have seen posts about wacom tablets there too.
Graphic tablet, wii on OSX
I haven't been able to make either successfully work with [hid]
But it has acknowledged that my wacom exists, and identifies the ranges it can output.
But it can't seem to make it work for some reason.
Graphic tablet, wii on OSX
I'm looking for a patch that can get data from a wacom or a wii and developped for OSX. I know both exist on linux or PC but I can't find it for my sweet little mac. An "hid" tutorial would be great.
thanks.
Using my Wacom.
I'm using osx.
All the joysticks and mouses and gamepads ive tried have worked in PD using [HID], and i know on Hans-Christoph Steiner's page he says there is no support for a tablet on osx because wacom wrote a "whacked" driver.
I've searched and only 2 threads came up.
I know from having used it at uni though, that there is a max/msp object called [wacom].
So is brilliant minds of the puredata forum, is there another object to use? Has anyone successfully made it work with [hid]?
Or is my best option to move to linux or something?
Wacom in pd
Hi
What's the name of the object which controll the "graphic tablets" (?) like wacom tablets? And where can I find it?
thanks
Tablet interface?
I'm looking at using my Wacom Tablet to either generate or process audio. Anyone have suggestions for possible externals along these lines? I'm not against writing one myself, but figured I should at least check first.
Thanks!
