my goal is to create a random tone generator that uses not just numbers in a range of something to feed the osc~ object. I want you use the Hz values of, for example the c major scale . So i got 7 values (261Hz for C4, 293Hz for D4, 329Hz for E4 and so on...) that should be played randomly through the osc~ object.

I'm complete new to Pd, so i just discovered the random object and i know (thx to this forum) how to patch a random tone generator. But i want some kind of list with the values from above so later i can transpose this list to D major for example etc...

Any help appreciated!

It's easier if you use MIDI notes and feed them to [mtof] to get the right frequencies. I've built a patch that generates major scales, but, in the spirit of this forum, I won't post it straight away. Better to try to figure it out yourself.
Anyway, the steps should be to store the range of a major scale and then add semitones according to which scale you want to produce. The patch I've done uses an algorithm to create each scale, without storing any values, but storing the basic sequence should be easier..

i usually send the intervals in a list like so: [0 2 4 5 7 9 11( to an array. then all you have to do is lookup the nth value in the array whenever you want the nth note in the scale, (the first note, 0 is actually @ index 0) and add it to the root of the scale as a midi note (60 for c). Then you go into [mtof] and you get your note frequency that you can feed into an oscillator
