@elly0t Hello again!....
Try pd/extra/mrpeach/midifile-help...........
or create an object [mrpeach/midifile-help] in your patch and then open it.............
Its another one where [midi-file] does not exist................ how do you keep finding them?.....they are quite rare!!
David.
@whale-av unfortunately it couldn't be initialised nor found in the help browser...
Moreover, can you please recommend me some good pd tutorials? There don't seem to be a lot online....
Cheers,
Elliot

Sound, will give it a go.
Some music have been generated and being played through the [noteout] object in pd.However I would really like to export them into a MIDI file. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot mate.
Hi, you can simply use [seq] to read and to record midi files. Alternatively, you can also send the MIDI information out of pd using [noteout] and [ctlout] and use a DAW to grab this data.
Hope this helps, cheers!
Gilberto
Unfortunately I can't figure a way to convert the output from [makenote] to the input of [seq]...
According to this http://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/topic/7646/recording-midi-file-using-seq-or-midifile, I will have to turn them into standard MIDI output with [midiformat] however I couldn't make them work together. The [seq] has been working, it's just that the output.mid is an empty file...
Here's a screenshot:
Thanks pal!
Elliot
It should work, see:
Remember to click first on [record(, then [stop record( and only then you save it with [write file.mid(. And if you Ctrl+click on [seq] after you record something, you should see the list of MIDI events it has saved in its memory.
Cheers,
Gilberto
