is it possible to record a midi file using seq or midifile from a standard

[makenote 100 200]

[noteout 1]

configuration? If so could anyone upload a quick patch because Mr Peach [midifile] help makes no sense to me whatsoever and [seq] only accept input from [midiin] i believe; but not a [makenote] . Basically I've got a composition I've made and I'm using [makenoe] & [noteout] to attach to my external synths. So logically connecting a MIDI recording device to [makenote] where the midi pitches are being generated would make sense. Please help

Use [cyclone/midiformat] to convert the output of [makenote] to standard MIDI messages like the ones coming from [midiin]. Both [cyclone/seq] and [mrpeach/midifile] are looking for those kinds of messages.
