I want to make a patch where I can input the number of steps, the space between them, and the pattern offset. should be easy yeah? i've been trying to wrap my head around it, but calculus homework has me beat. any hints or ideas anyone?

attached is my "Chroperator" abstraction. the pitch rises when I increase the index, should be a simple problem but it's been bothering me a lot. ideas?

thank you all for existing and staying active, I learn a lot from this site every day.
I'm working on this patch, but the chords piece of it is clicking every time a random number is assigned to the frequency of a band pass filter. i used

I'm starting an PD user group in Austin, Tx. I'm a student at Texas State in San Marcos, about 30 minutes south of Austin, and haven't found a single person out of Austin who's even heard of it. There's a small group of us in Austin already, but we need more people! anyone can email me at chron@austinworldmusic.com.
also if you have any info on existing groups or related events, please don't hold back!

thanks, i was going to ask that too, but what i meant was really just triggering mp4 clips with their audio intact. it looks like there is a pdp object that will do it, but it's missing from my pd extended. any ideas?

download the rjdj objects, they have a realtime pitchshift and frequency shift and many other useful abstractions.

the rjdj objects have some badass effects, including a frequency shifter and a pitch shifter. check em out

is there a way i could randomize the bp~ frequency without triggering the ead~ and without clicks? like, the chord is playing constant but the filter jumps around smoothly? that's what i was going for originally.
