I overheard a method of completing this involves the text object. but I have no knowledge of this object whatsoever.

if I can get some help in this I will be truly grateful as this will save me a lot of time.

This should get you on your way...... (open "keyboard.pd")

"read_from_abstr.pd" is an abstraction that contains an array which can be played by sending a message (in this case from the parent patch "keyboard.pd").

"put_dynamic.pd" shows you how to create and destroy the abstactions dynamically.

Notice though that it's not a good idea to create arrays "live", as it will always lead to an audio glitch. If creating arrays is part of the initialization process of your patch then it's ok, but don't rely on doing this while playing audio.

@jjegede01 Hello...... Do you really need to use arrays? or would [readsf~] do the job? Arrays have a maximum size, so if you are playing loooong audio tracks then [readsf~] is more friendly. If you want arrays so as to manipulate the sound then a message like........
[read -resize folder/filename.wav filename_array_L filename_array_R(
will write left and right to the two arrays, and then you will need two [tabplay~] to [dac~1] and [dac~ 2]........ send them both the same message (1... to start at the top.....) and they will play in sync...
Have a look at the [soundfiler] help......... [soundfiler] just drops any channels for which you have not provided an array...... up to 64 channels!
