there are some audio and picture files that come with pd (as part of the help files, etc)

..I've never heared or seen those in the helpfiles... and I wonder how it's done. Will sounds stored in wav- (or whatever audio-)-format actually still come out as sounds if you do stuff like that??

It seems to be made with pd itself, so to cut it short: I want thant, too!!
I picked out some parts of the video (for people who do not want to see (and hear!...) the whole 12 mins...):
-Voice: 4:53 min & 10:05 min
-picture: 5:32 min
-this "bombsound" from an oldschool-soundmachine I "circuit-bent" some time ago..: 11:48 min ..crazy, didn't think it is so famous...

But does it look like the original?? Cause the sounds really do sound like one would expect them to... how big is the chance for that, if it's just an "accident"? ..I really have no idea of how individual data is stored in files etc...

..and the bombsoundeffect really does: "iiiooouuuuuwww brrrrrrbrbrbrbrrbrbr" ..lofi..

That Nixon voice at 10:05 is in the docs/media folder in Pd-extended. I don't know where it gets used in the helpfiles, though.

Uncompressed mono sound files are stored as just one sample after the other. So, yeah, if you just read it back like that, it will sound like it should.

You can get Pd to read any file as a sound file like this by using the -raw flag for [soundfiler].

i do like the visuals view is there a patch like that any were i can use for live input, i really never looked at the the visual possibility of pd?
