Hi People,

Ive just started using TouchOSC with Ableton 8 (Windows 7) but ive come into a problem. Ableton maps the first & second controllers (knobs), but anything after the second mapping gets the same CC number as the second (in this case 1/1). Each button from midimapmode that I press after mapping the 2nd automatically populates the controller number (1/1).

Also sometimes when trying to map in MidiMapMode, when I click on an Ableton control, then wiggel my TOuchOSC iPhone knobs you can see the correct cc number flick up for a moment but then it changes (very quickly) to the second CC number.

Can anyone help with this please?

There is no PD-related questions in your post. Maybe someone will give you a hand but you'd better search for OSC or Ableton users to help you.

Someone mentioned to me that i might need to filer out cc's events. But im not sure if this is the case, or if it is how to do it..

my only guess is, that the second controller jitters somehow, overriding anything you try to do on other controllers (by sending something constantly).

filtering out is easy, using [match] or an expression. i don't know how the touchosc patch works with receiving cc changes, but i'd try to separate the incoming cc changes as quickly as possible into it's separate cc lines and thus giving every controller it's own line of processing, or rather sending to live.

in casual midi-terms, i'd always use [ctlin x y] - x & y of course being the channel and controllernumber and never one ctlin object for all incoming events.

this way, you can temporarily filter out everything dodgy, that might come from the second controller.
