finally found what i was looking for. [para_bp2~] in the iemlib, perfect for building a parametric eq.
you can chain as many of these together as you need.
Parametric eq! got it!

and, to see the frequency response, here is a simplified version of the filter-graph patch from the help files:
Very nice work indeed ! I might see this going into my master-audio-patch-thingy.
Any ideas about the cpu consumption (although i could test that myself of course)?

i was afraid to check .....
but just did...and the news is GOOD! i copied about 50 units, and cpu usage only jumped about 4% on a 2gig machine.
probably about the same as a normal vcf~
128 units gives me a jump of less than 10%
i could make more than 1000 if pd's gui didn't slow to a halt due to all the GOP redrawing.
Brilliant news. I guess i'm gonna take it a step further and make a 4 or 6 band integrated unit with presets to add to each of my logical audio channels.

You just caused a spitting of tea/keyboard interface.
Post a version here when you're done!! Mazin!!
here's a 7 band EQ i did today.
has a nice flat response when all gains are set to zero
bad. ass. Sounds great!
Perhaps, now all it needs is 'analogue' style volume levelling at the tail end
Hi!
I'm sorry cause this won't be a useful post but I just want to thanks you a lot !
This 7 band EQ really works good :D
I was looking for something like that for a while and this EQ rules !
