I am trying to place an audio file in an array, but I cannot seem to get it to got a variable array using $0-.

It does work if I use a regular array. What am I doing wrong? Or do I need to come up with a different solution?

I was also looking up ways to create new arrays with new names, but could not figure out a way to do that instead.

$0 doesn't work in messages. You have to do this:

[$0 ] <- this is an object
|
[read -resize /path/to/file.aiff $1-array2( <- this is a message

@raynovich You can also do [pack f ... $0} if you have more than one argument to pass to the message or do [pack $0 ... f] if the arrival time of the other messages is not suitable for when you want to send it, just bang the first inlet when you need the message.
