Hi I'm new to Pd
Is there a way to run a patch so that the main canvas is seen with GUI, but without the menu bar at the top (file, edit, put etc)
Many thanks

Run in full screen without menu bar?

I'm a bit curious about this also as I will be setting up my abstraction to run on a raspberry pi later when my abstraction is coded. Im sure I will have to tweak it to get things to run proper but that is a headache for another day. Im curiously watching this thread.

@JJLloyd It could be done in extended for some OS's...... https://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/topic/6197/hide-menu-bar but I am pretty sure that some of the tools are no longer available in vanilla as the tcl has been updated..
You could edit pd_menus.tcl and pd_menucommands.tcl and create a real mess.
If your intention is to hide them from people you share the patch with then you will lose friends very quickly.
David.
This plugin hides the menu and title bar on windows 10.
With a F11 function key toggle, but only as full screen

@Balwyn and others
Thanks for your thoughts.
uuumm ... going beyond my knowledge /skill level I think. Don't really understand what tcl is. My aim was just to make the screen with Pd GUI look as neat as possible for an art project. I guess the menu bar is not a big distraction anyway, so I think I will leave it until
there is a simple secure way to do it.
