ok now i decided to start to dive into pure data. since i want don't want to miss anything and i love to work with manuals: can you recommend me some pdf manual or printed book? anyway, my main focus is less sound synthesis but more composition.
getting started with pure data: any book, pdf, tutorial recommendations?
@emens This up to but not including chapter 2.9........ http://puredata.info/docs/manuals/pd/x2.htm
Then this....... http://write.flossmanuals.net/pure-data/introduction2/
Then questions to this forum.
Then, maybe, chapter 2.9, which you can scan to see if it interests you, but must be prepared for a very steep learning curve if you wish to implement it.
I love the video tutorials by Rafael Hernandez alias: cheetomoskeeto. They are very well explained and provide inspiration to get going creatively from the very beginning:
"Live Electronic Music Tutorial with examples in Pure Data and the ELSE Library By Alexandre Torres Porres
This tutorial presents theory and practice of Live Electronics topics without any prerequisite. It's aimed at newbies, dummies, enthusiasts and also experts. Pure Data is adopted in the examples for its accessibility and for being a powerful didactic tool. Nonetheless, this work relies heavily in the ELSE library for Pure Data, also developed by Alexandre Torres Porres, the author of this tutorial => check about the ELSE library here: https://github.com/porres/pd-else"
