Hello Community

I try since a couple of day to make the 7Tones Patch running on a Raspberry Pi.
the patch was written by Martin Brinkmann http://www.martin-brinkmann.de/pd-patches.html
It runs pretty fine under Win10 and MacOS, but not on my Jessie Raspberry.

I am pretty new to Pure Data and also my linux foo is more or less not available.

Is the media test audio tone working?

In general everything is working, I can also run my own patches without any problem, Only this patch (and some others) does not work correctly.

It looks like that the Watchdog is the problem

@Korb It is trying to re-schedule audio and (probably....?) not succeeding. Does your Pi actually have an audio input?
De-select the input in the Pd AudioSettings if it doesn't.
I think it more likely that the Pi cannot do the 8x oversampling in so many oscillators at the same time ( search [block~ 64 1 8] ).
You could try increasing the buffer size (Delay mSecs in "audio settings").

But you might need to avoid over-sampling completely by changing the oscillator design to a table lookup..... using "sinesum"..... see generating waveforms here....... http://write.flossmanuals.net/pure-data/generating-waveforms/ and why this works for anti-aliasing here........ http://write.flossmanuals.net/pure-data/antialiasing/ .........

The terminal output in your OP is identical to that I get in Windows...... so nothing seems to be missing.
Good luck.... It is lucky that it is known to work on other computers. I think it would be almost impossible to de-bug..........

Check the CPU load. Maybe (and I'm not sure) you can make it work with a RPi 3, but not with any previous ones.

it is probably too much for the rpi, at least for the rpi1. to throw out the oversampling, you can remove the block object in all 7 "stps_oscs", and all objects between the vcf-out and the outlet (connect the vcf right lowpass out directly to the outlet). i believe that should suffice even for the rpi1. if not, you could try to replace the rev3 with a cheaper reverb...

thank you guys for your great support. it really turns out that the CPU load was the root cause of the problem. After a little bit of tweaking and increasing the buffer size it runs now pretty good on my Raspberry.
