My patch is above. I get the error "$1: argument out of range".
I assume this is because I am sending a bang into a message with an abstraction, but I am unable to figure out how to bang the message boxes to control the line function while still being able to control the a/d times.

I have tried looking into the pack object, but I can't figure out how to bang it.

@Oscillcreate [pack] will hold the values it last received and output them again if you bang the left inlet.
But the error might come from the [1 $1( message box if you are not sending it a value that $1 requires.
So ....
Although the bang inlet could go directly to the left inlet of [pack] in the screenshot below.

@whale-av Hey David, thanks for the reply. I have looked into the t b f object for other stuff a bit and all I can figure out is that it stands for trigger bang float. Could you possibly clarify what that object does?

Isn't the goal, though, to suppress the envelope for attack or decay changes and trigger it only on bang?

I'd do it this way (note, vline~ obviates the [delay], simpler):

I think this is more useful if, e.g., you have a slider attached to the attack time -- you don't want to trigger the envelope every time the slider moves.
