posted in technical issues • read moreI got "hid" hid-help to open device 15 on a playstation2-3 looking usb 2-analog stick. it gets the numbers from both analog sticks and 8-10 buttons. the last issue is that my mouse is actually still moving around because it also is using the joystick at the same time.

posted in technical issues • read moreits referenced somewhere in gem. or a joystick is called a hid. maybe. I looked through the librry quickly , I dont understand what a device is maybe. I dont know if it only works on certain devices etc.. Im looking for midi becauise it seems to work best on vanilla. If you have any working examples with hid Id look at it .

posted in technical issues • read moreI want a joystick for making video games. so I think midi really would be the easiest. So how hard is it really to get a ps4 or xbox or switch to send midi to pd vanilla. The korg nanopad2 has a xy grid on the left I can use for a analog stick and buttons on the right. it plugs in without drivers and works . Id like playstation or switch or xbox thing to do that as well. Im not really into extra programs to add to the setup Im looking for simple midi.
thanks so maybe something the same shape of a commercial joystick. -

posted in technical issues • read moreyou might end up with list columns. it isnt one list really. its multiple lists at the same time. then you maybe use numbers and read numbers from the list and they trigger commands.
