    @EEight Thanks man!
    Do you know anyone who would be able to work on a port (or that I can possibly commission)?

    Anyone? I really do need some advice on this one.
    I need to have Pd in my game project. I already use local networking to make use of Pd but this is not something I can do when I publish my game.

    @rjp9 There is a plugin called stop autorefresh on the chrome web store but apparently it hasnt worked for a while. besides, i lost internet the other day for a little bit and it was still gobbling up one whole cpu.

    @rjp9 I was wondering that as well. Maybe the refresh interval just needs to be lowered to maybe once every 5 minutes? That's how I have my app notifications set up and that keeps battery usage on my phone pretty low.

    @whale-av I use chrome because It handles the webpage threading and webgl a lot better and I have a couple plugins ive written for myself.
    So, now we know its not specific browsers causing this.

    I'm looking through the site HTML to see if i can find anything.

    does anyone know how often the webpage calls home to check for new notifications? I'm thinking that may be contributing.

    @Johnny-Mauser hey, thanks man.
    say I'm wanting to use puredata to apply some visual effects to a video file, is there a way i can make sure that it doesn't skip any frames when im using pix_record and make sure it retains the same framerate as the input video file?

    Lately ive just been using ShareX to screencap the GEM window but that tends to be a bit heavy on my system and may cause issues in the future. I've been playing with the idea of having the video data streamed over localhost for VLC to capture but I haven't actually attempted it yet.
    What method do you guys think would be the best for my setup? (4+ year old toshiba laptop, intel core i3 processor with shoddy integrated gpu)

    Thanks in advance :3
