i was doing a VJ set on saturday with a new bit of software, pushed it too far and crashed it.

the core of the patch is a [pic_motionblur] witch outlets to the first inlet of a [pix_compare] and via a [pix_delay] into the second inlet of the [pix_compare]
what this dose is loop ether the lightest of darkest pixels, as far as i know this 'looped' data is stored on the alpha channel.

following this patch are all the effects (9 total) [pix_refraction] [pix_contrast] [pix_gain] stuff like that

generally the software is stable until i've had everything going and mix in [pix_lumaoffset] set to fill, causing the crash

any ideas would be appreciate, i don't want to get rid of [pix_lumaoffset] as i like the pixilated effect it creates. if overloading the alpha channel is the problem any thoughts of clearing it mid set.

i'm working on a video project to complement a band. the original patch was developed for a dj and loops, video based on a constant bpm.

for this up coming show i want to be able to tap in the beet, probably through a bang object outputting a numeric value, has anyone developed something similar, or understands the maths and can explain the concept.

this has probably been asked before but I'm just confusing myself at the moment so i though id ask for the help

i've got the PdMtlAbstractions zip that I'm wanting to add to vershion 0.40.3-extended on OSX. I'm looking around the application but not sure what to do, is it just dropping it in the plugins file? a point in the right direction or a baby steps guide would help out loads...

i'm building a new video mixer from scratch and was wanting to sort out a problem that i've had for ages. when playing a clip below its frame rate pd greens out between frame, is there a way to get the [gemhead] to hold the texture until the next frame...

i've built this patch but it's crashing on me regularly, wanting to know if its my system or work, its the [part_] side of things that i think is proving to be a problem...

any good ways of stream lining it would be appreciated.

i've built a patch to take midi from a synth and create a simple cube that spins, changes size, color and orbit...

working fine on its own i'm trying to add it into a 2 channel video mixer and have used spigots to divert the gemhead from the to the patch and out to a cube...

there a few things that kill it.... as it rotates it only partially renders each face, change the size and the cube disappears, any thoughts.

i've attached the synthpatch as well...

yeah i'm with you on this, i've used some of the share-wared dedicated to this but i would love to bring it into PD.

the closet i've got is messing around with a [pic_motionblur] witch outlets to the first inlet of a [pix_compare] and via a [pix_delay] into the second inlet of the [pix_compare]

hay much thanks for introducing me to the timer object, i've had a bit of a play and its defiantly working well enough to perform with...
but if i want a sample across a few beets, what's the plan. do i set up a couple of timers with some sort of gate controlling the inlets to separate the bangs then divide and times the out put... or is there a simpler way of doing it.

thanks domien, i'll get it built and test it out... steadies this issue, the band are playing with ought a drummer so i think ill be making regular adjustments through the set..
i'm into the average vibe... guessing i need three floats coming out of the number object... but how do i separate each value...
