posted in technical issues • read moreHi there! I'm very new to Pd (and really DSP things in general) but I'm currently attempting to build an instrument using ultrasonic distance sensors in Pd (running off a Bela). I've gone through what tutorials are available on Bela's learning hub, but they're not comprehensive and I'm struggling to figure out how to control the threshold (it hits an upper limit and then stops sending readings to Bela).
Ultimately, what I'd like to do is create a patch that allows me to control the playback speed and/or pitch of a loaded sample depending on how close or far a person is from the sensor. Right now, I'm just experimenting with oscillators to see if I can get the general idea working, but it isn't at all smooth and I can't seem to find any helpful information on working with these sensors in Pd. Any advice would be extremely helpful! Happy to share my disaster of a patch if need be.
TIA!
