    Hello All,

I am using sigmund~ with the minpower message but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the output. I tried on Win10 and OSX 10.13 with PD 0.48 and 0.49.

Does the minpower message work in PD vanilla? Have a missed the blindingly obvious?

Very nice... I haven't seen that before. Definitely interesting. I think that'll work. Thanks very much.

Thanks for the replies. Okay I have some alternatives now... most likely I'll just come up with another plan.

    Thanks again.

    Hello People,

I am trying to use HID and MouseState in PD vanilla. I am not sure how to go about doing it. Alternately is there a vanilla way to do either MouseState or HID.

    Thanks

It might be an idea to look at Modular Grid or M4L to see what kind of thing is out there.

Personally I like Hermut Lobby's BeatSurfer app. I made a version of his MonkeyFader in PD. It works well. I prefer to have more real time and immediate control over my sequences.

Perfect David. I was thinking it would be a biquad filter but I don't really understand them very well.

    Heh,

I am looking for pink~ in PD vanilla. I don't know how to build it. I could use a looped sample but then it's sampled noise and not random.

    any ideas?

Perfect - thanks so much ingox. I find the list objects confusing and I don't think I would have come up with this solution.

    Hello,

I'm loading user selected samples into an array. I'm having trouble resizing an array with a global variable name.

I bang an openpanel object and use the message [read -resize $1 $0-array( and connect that to a soundfiler object.

I get an error saying 0-array no such table. and the table is does not fill with the sample.

I would like to make a sampling app where people can have multiple instances of the sampler but I do not want to have to name the arrays in advance thus limiting the number of arrays they can use. I would like to instead use a variable randomly generated name using the $0-array but I also need to resize the array. Any ideas?

    Hello,

Does anybody know how to stop comments randomly appearing in PD. Often if I add a comment, save the patch, and reopen the patch there will be a new comment placed on top of my comments. I delete the comment and save but it often reappears. I assume it happens to others as it has been happening in my PD patches for years. So there is a comment I have written and then after I save the patch a mysterious new default comment appears obscuring my comment.

    0.43.4-extended

I was waiting for a while to see if any other forum members might have suggestions but it's been a few days now so I think that might be it. So thanks Liam I'll check it out.

    Hello all,

I am looking around for GUI interface externals. I would like to make a slightly more attractive interface but I dont want to design my own interface. I looked at the [moonlib] which has 2 cool looking dials. I wonder could anybody suggest a library of externals that I could check out?

    Cheers

Each slider in the MobMuPlat GUI editor is named. The name and value is sent along to the PD patch. You need to have the PdWrapper patch open at the same time when building the patch on your computer. This takes the name and value from the GUI editor and sends it to your PD patch. Once the name and value is in your PD patch you use alexandros's example to strip the name and then hook up the value to whatever parameter you want in your PD patch. So you need the GUI Editor, PdWrapper.pd AND MyPatch.pd open for it to work.

Have a look at the included examples in the MMB distribution.

Not sure if that's what you mean?

I didn't think about cross platform. I'm on OSX but the kids are mostly PC.

Does anyone know what [screensize] is doing. Is there a low level way to build it natively. It's not a big concern right now but it'd be good to know.
