    Hi @all

I am working on a concept to use puredata as a soundengine for ruby. Currently i am just sketch out the concept and how it would work.
On that point i got a question - is there a max stringrange of a patchname? [pd blablabla...] ? Something like 256?

    Would be great to know

    Thanks a lot

    best regards

    adrian

    hi

is there a way to set a filefilter in openpanel?

    [symbol ~/pd/test/presets/*.drum(
    |
    [openpanel]

this stuff wokrs only without "*.drum" ... but then you get only the right location.

    thanks for help

    cheers, addisaden

edit: is there a way to get the hid-object to work in puredyne? *btw+

    Hi

The last two days I work on this patch.
It's an maybe we can call it a "Loop Live Recorder"

    1. Record live 8 voices
    2. mute the playback and delete the record
    3. various speed
    4. nice design
    5. control the patch with keys!! (if you have a qwerty keyboard you can fix them in an subpatch)

would be great to get some feedback.

    hey

been working on a toolbox and want to make also an 8bit sound effect. is there any easy way to do this stuff?
256 [vcf~] objects are really a lot and i hope there is a much more comfortable way to realize an 8 bit sound. The best way would be also to manipulate the frequence and the bitrate.

    thanks a lot

    Hi @all

Just tested the option "-nogui" for my instruments and the delread~ and delwrite~ seems not working. on startup with gui the really simple program have a delay from 500ms. Without the gui it seems, that it has only 1ms? There is a noise mixed with my voice, like a phasor~ ...
My System is "PuredyneLinux - pd 0.42-5". I use it with Jack and normally it works pretty well, why not without the gui?

Can anybody help? And are there also other objects not working?

    Thanks for your help :)

    Hi,

sorry - i am not so active at all :)
You can install puredata via aptitude, but dont know if this is the version you needed.

Also you can download the source and via make you can get it compiling and execute the pd file in the folder. If thats not working maybe you have to install some other packages. I dont know the details, because i never had an 64bit system.

Also i think you can also get help on the irc-Channel
    Server : irc.freenode.net
    Channel : #dataflow
    URL : irc://irc.freenode.net/dataflow

    or in the mailinglist via
    http://puredata.info/community/lists

mostly the community is great and really helpful, but its a smaller community, but puredata is lovely and also the people in the community

    best wishes
