I was never introduced to music except a few chords on the guitar.
I love programming and I accidentally found PureData.
My girlfriend recently gave me an akai mpk mini to play:so anyone, some advice on how to connect it to PureData?and something interesting to do?

@traitrkng On OSX or Windows, you should be able to just hook it up to your computer's usb slot, open Pd and select it from the MIDI dialog. Then you can go to the Media menu and select the item to test audio and midi and see if it's connected.

If you're on GNU/Linux with the ALSA backend it may be a little bit more complicated (as I'm finding out).

On Linux with ALSA you can use aconnect which should be pretty easy and straight forward...
