Hi,
I'm not sure why this happens?
But all my number boxes that have nothing coming in on the inlet start at 0 when I open my patch.
is there a way around this?

Numberboxes are not stored with the patch. But messages are! so you could:

[numberbox\

Alternatively, you can use "Number2" from the put menu, go to properties and click "no init" (so that it becomes "init"). The value will then be saved in the patch. The same works with sliders, radios and toggles.
