Hi guys,
My PC's default language is Greek so I see all the pd menus in Greek. I want to change them to English but I can't find a way to do it.
Thanks in advance!
How to run pd in English instead if my PC's default language
Hi guys,

Thanks in advance!
@Kostas.Bk you didn't state your platform and version of pd. If you're on vanilla 0.43 windows I found a post about putting a environment variable before running pd:
LANG=pt "%ProgramFiles%\pd\bin\pd"
Thanks for your reply!
I am running version 0.43.4 on windows 8.
Where should I type this text you mentioned for the environment variable?
Does it have anything to do with the CMD command or is it something I should use inside pd? The command right now is "C:\Program Files (x86)\pd\bin\pd.exe", should I change it, and if yes, to what exactly?
@Kostas.Bk I don't use Windows, but I think you should start by trying to open a command line and type:
LANG=en C:\Program Files (x86)\pd\bin\pd.exe
Cheers~
If you want to get rid of all languages but English, without needing to use the command line, go to Program Files -> pd and delete the folder called "po". Pd will open in English always, just by clicking on its icon.
Thanks everyone for your replies. I renamed the folder "po" (just in case) and it works fine!
Hello there,
I have the same problem with the Greek language. Do you know how can I fix that on Macbook pro ? ( OS X )
If I remember correctly, go to /Applications/Pd-extended.app/Contents/ Resources and there you'll find this folder called "po". Remove it and it should work.
FIY, if you don't know how to get to that directory, secondary click on the app's icon -> "Show Package Contents" -> "Resources".
Thank you very much! that worked perfectly
Oops! Looks like something went wrong!
