I use windows so can u tell me how to do it ?
You use the [vst~] object to use vst's and vsti's. Be sure to create it with the number of inputs and outputs specified (like in the helpfile) otherwise the object won't create - well, on my system that is. And then also note that not all plugins will load. When you rightclick the object and request its properties when a plugins is loaded, you can see all nice information about the loaded plugin.
Good luck with it.

Do you use pd-extended?
Here's the version i'm using.

thx a lot
it works
the only one problem is that only a few VSTs are working
do you know what's the matter ? why some work and the other don't
or maybe you know how to find VSTs that may be used in pd
and yes I use Pd version 0.41.4-extended
but I didn't have [vst~] on it
system: windows 7
I know there are plugins that work and others that don't. I suspect this has something to do with their internal implementation. I believe it's a matter of trial and error to find out which ones you can use. I've never found a solution to load the other ones. Maybe someone else knows this?

hello. i synced PD with Reaper and try using it as advanced vst-host.
hi... I've managed to get vst~ installed in pd-extended in windows as for some reason it wasn't already. I've then placed the vst plugin i would like to open (Dubstation) in the same folder (C:/user/me/appdata/roaming). Now I am wondering how to open that in Pd. Obviously I create a vst~ object but what do I do with it then? Any help would be very much appreciated thanks.
