i like this. very nice.
i need to work on more music made with pd, rather than using pd to alter already existing sounds.

Wicked!
I like your evolving sounds...
It's always nice to have some examples of what you can achieve (in terms of audio material) with pd.
I kinda like Nuthatch47 too
When the winds of change are blowing, some people are building shelters while others are building windmills...
oh, hey thanks- they kicked me out of the band.

I really enjoyed this, even without the death penalty hanging over my head. Are the sounds all synthesized, or modified samples, or what?

no problem weng, I spend way too much time programming to be the kind of accordionista the band needed. I still love the guys like my brothers. I was trying to push them in more digital directions, and that just wasn't for them. I'm glad you like their sound, I do too.
To answer your question ichabod, the middle section, that sounds all curey and laired are filtered bass samples, but the rest is synthesized. The melodic contours were created with a gamepad ocarina I've been tooling for a while, It's supposed to move between keys, tonal and chromatic fluidly, but it doesn't quite yet. There's Alberto'z sea waves generator that I run through a spectral masher to create harmonic resonant 'scale-things' in the final part, and I used a hybrid of Hardoff's juno sequencer, Obi's jazzdrumsamplerbox, and a few fftfiltered delay lines to create the percussion.
I used a tempo of about 168 to compliment a 44.1khz samplerate- this allows the ffts ot be rhythmic in their window sizing. I'm experimenting with polyinstances of pd at different samplerates and jackding them together, but no sounds have come come out of that yet.

that's a really cool idea to sync up the bpm and samplerate / fft window size. neat.

An enjoyable sound journey full of lots of interesting noises.
I particularly liked the lift off into slides and strings at about 2 mins.
Nice work.
