SOLVED
Hi,
having issue when connecting Plugdata w/ Pd.
It works when I move value manually, but when the value is run by clocks, it freezes and needs restart.
Any idea?

Patches are obviously in link if someone would like to take a closer look.

PS: I moved with slider, but it works also with moving Float - both way from Plugdata to Pd and vice versa.
I did not shown here how Pad is working, but u can check it in patch in link.

@Aliam.Sigsaly I cannot read the patch in the video but it looks as though a message is posted on the right side of the screen (console?) at the moment you start the clock....
"expr divide by zero"
which might explain the freeze.

@whale-av This is not imo the issue, u can open the patch and see that Lissajous curves are working. (vid1 bellow)

I ve notice that it crash when Pd is loaded. (Vid2 bellow)

@Aliam.Sigsaly So Pd crashes instantly with no messages to its console if Plugdata is running..
But if you start Pd first and then Plugdata they both run until you start the clock, and then Pd crashes.

Pd can freeze due to audio problems even when dsp is off.
Is Pd set to use the same audio pins as plugdata? It might be freezing because it cannot access them.

Or Pd tries to use the same port as Plugdata to connect to its Gui, but it should move automatically to another.

You might be able to use Microsoft Sysinternals to see what is happening.
Plugdata is pure data with a different Gui program, and so if you have common paths set for the 2 programs they could try to load incorrect files. I don't know to what extent they use the same resources, but windows should keep their access separate.

Out of interest, what is your reason for running 2 instances of Pd?

@whale-av Yep, as u can see in last vid, it crash without console msg.
I think divide 0 detection is from Phase offset that is then divided by 2 to convert it to Radian. It can be solved giving it start on 2.

But thx for logical q. I want to display trace of XYz trajectory of modulation signal in Pd Ofelia, while be able to use Plugdata inside DAW and use synths like Zebra HZ...
Ofelia in Plugdata is still not finished (and is only for Stand Alone version anyway) so as temporary solution I wanted to use Pure Data.
It should be already piece of cake w/ [of.Window] object. I ve seen in Python code for and it was just one line command.

EDDIT: What the do you mean by audio Pin? I have Steinberg soundcard, but how does it matter?

@whale-av I found the solution - it is really tough very elaborated hacking process> u have to open Pure Data first and then Plugdata. I think u ve been mentioning this may be one of issues..
