I created a synthesizer patch with an envelope subpatch that uses lots of send and receive objects. A small part of it is shown below:

As you can see, many send and receive objects use names ending in _1. My plan is to duplicate the subpatch and change the names to end in _2, _3, _4, etc.

Is there a way to avoid having to manually change every single name? Could I somehow replace the numbers with dollar-sign arguments and then only have to input the identifying number once?

@hollandmusictech Maybe you could turn the envelope subpatch into an abstraction (i.e. save it in its own file) and then use arguments to the abstraction? Even more conveniently you could use [clone] to replicate each abstraction and then use $1 (the clone identifier) as the unique suffix?
