I hope you are well! I want to be sending live audio output from VCV Rack on the same computer to Pure Data for audio processing. I've read about internal routing but I honestly didn't understand a thing. Is there any way somebody knows or any help in general?

@NegativeOne It depends on your OS...... but the principle is the same.
Something needs to sit in the middle, with an input that the output of the rack can connect to, and an output that an input of Pd can connect to.

Linux would generally use jack with one of the various front ends like qjackctl or patchage. I do not believe pd supports pulse audio yet so pavucontrol and other pulse tools will likely have little effect Most of the time we either run jack into pulse if latency is not an issue or if latency is an issue we run pulse into jack/kill pulse and use alsa or start jack in it's place. PulseAudio is the standard linux audio server with little concern for latency.
