Hi everyone, I have just upgraded my laptop to a 2020 MacBook Pro (M1) and suddenly I get no audio input whatsoever in pd-l2ork, nothing from my interface, nothing from the built in microphone. All settings are as they should be and I have never had issues with my previous computer, also I just installed Vanilla and it immediately works perfectly. Has anybody else had a similar issue with pd-l2ork?
No audio input in pd-l2ork
+1 same problem for me. Upgraded to a 2021 MacBookPro, M1 chip, Monterey 12.2.1
+1 here on a MacBook M1 running Mavericks. Vanilla works fine, but I get no input with pd-l2ork ether from the macbook's mic or my MOTU interface. Output works fine. Any help will be much appreciated!
@dvvi @JoeB @p5t If you have "built from source" then I think you should post your problem as an issue here...... https://github.com/pd-l2ork/pd/issues or on the mailing list....... http://disis.music.vt.edu/listinfo/l2ork-dev .... or both?
I believe the M1 is an ARM processor..... so building from source with the appropriate dependencies could be necessary..... and should be easy (or have you actually installed a package built specifically for that processor?) ...... https://agraef.github.io/purr-data/#installation
I don't know if you figured this out or not. For me Pd-l20rk was not on the MacOS list of applications with permission to access the microphone. Pd-l20rk did not prompt for microphone access for whatever reason. Since I'm on a university machine, my only choice was to open Pd-l2ork via the command line. This worked but now the only way to ensure microphone permissions is to open it via Terminal.
I put the direct path to the executable in the command line:
