Hi,

I am on a Raspberry Pi 3 using Pd .49.0

I am just setting this computer up and I'm installing my externals. None of them load.

I set up a search path: /home/pi/Documents/Pd

I see the cyclone folder in there. When I try to put a cyclone object in a patch, like the counter object, I get this error:

...couldn't create
/home/pi/Documents/Pd/cyclone.pd_linux: /home/pi/Documents/Pd/cyclone.pd_linux: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

does this have something to do with 64 bit or something like that? How can I correct this so I can use some externals?

Also, I added the libraries to "Pd libraries to load on startup."

Any suggestions on what to do would be very appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken and I understand you correctly, you must compile the externals for ARM.
Maybe did you copy them from an Intel computer?

@macrogmittrei Oh. Ok that would make sense. I am used to using an old version of Pd on linux, Raspberry Pi and was adding the libraries using apt-get. The new version I have of Pd has Dekken, so I was just using that. I didn't know I had to do anything once I added them with Dekken. Maybe I'll try deleting them and adding them again with apt-get, as I'm pretty sure it will compile them for me.

Hey @macrogmittrei, thank you so much for your reply. You were right. I deleted the libraries I added with Dekken, and added them again using apt-get install in the terminal. And that totally worked.

So I suppose I will stick with added my libraries in the terminal. Thank you so much for the help. I still don't know what ELF class is, but I don't care since the problem is solved.

You can also download them manually (and compile) if they are not in the repository or if you don't find them with Deken.
