Purr Data beta1

This is the beta 1 release of Purr Data (the GUI port of Pd-l2ork)

Change log:

fix many errors in the GUI
fix position of popup menu when zooming
fix scalar crasher
fix gop display error
fix disappearing $@
save gui preset with preferences
fix segfault with preference changes
fixed many memory leaks with patches backported from Pd Vanilla
small fixes to help patches
add text editor window for [text define]
add and improve the scalar properties dialog
add default float arg for Pd's "quit" message (good for test patches)
updated some external libraries

This is a beta release, so please report lots of bugs to

Hm, I see the OSX freeze, too. It runs on the build box but not on a different OSX instance. And same version for both instances.

I'll investigate.

Found it-- it's a problem stemming from my attempt at linking to jack1. I'll try to figure out a (relatively) quick fix to it...

Ok, I updated the OSX binary to Beta 2.1. (Didn't do another beta release since the fixes were all OSX-specific.)

Thanks. Pd start well with beta 2.1 OSX.

But pdp have some problem at startup:

@60htz I'll investigate. But it's working on a 10.11.6 system that doesn't have a Pd build environment on it.

So this may just be a case where this library (or, more specifically, the sdl lib from macports) doesn't work on older versions of OSX
