This is the alpha 2 release of Purr Data (the GUI port of Pd-l2ork)

• fix error with "couldn't unbind" error with "Put" menu array
• fix resize anchor for [cnv]
• fix problem with starting up on Windows if there's a space in the path
• ported Scope~ from cyclone
• fix bug with disappearing text in object and message boxes
• fix resizing bug with atom box
• fix problem with iemguis in subpatches causing errors in the GUI
• fix message box border

I'm using the Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit version and I noticed that if you have DSP turned on and open the preferences dialog, the audio-settings don't display and cannot be changed, at least when using jack. Moreover the dialog doesn't close if you click the Ok button, you'll have to click on close. Maybe this is the desired behavior.
I think the syntax in "draw-help.pd" is wrong.If I open the help file the scalar isn't displayed. I think this is because x/y and width/height are in the wrong order.
Currently the objects are written: "draw circle 0 0 40 40" and "draw rect 100 -40 80 80".

Thanks for the report. You're right about draw-help.pd-- I changed the interface some time ago and forgot to update the help patch.

I'll spend some time working with the preferences dialog for the next alpha.

This is impressive work, but are there no new alpha 3 cat features? If not, how should I proceed?

Gem is a pickle. We're currently building 64-binaries for OSX, but for Gem to work it needs to be built as a 32-bit binaries. Matt Barber tried building everything as 32-bit to accommodate Gem but ran into linker errors.

The current alpha includes a working version of Gem for Windows. But the current alpha doesn't automatically load libraries at startup-- I'll have an installer available for the next alpha to do that.

In the meantime you can do [import Gem] to load it.

I have 2 questions :

• can we said to pd to load personnals abstractions, in a specific location, when he run ?
• for the view menu : ctl+= works fine, but ctl+- did not work surprisingly

shortcut suggestion : ctl+mouseWheel would be reallyyyyy great

Do you mean you want the "Startup Path" dialog?

I was having this trouble on Ubuntu with the latest version of Vanilla (which also features zooming). Eventually I got it to work with ctrl + shift + -. Does this apply here?

my "-" key is shared with the "6" nb... nothing out of ordinary.
same behavior with ctrl + shift + -
maybe it is my computer if it works on yours. doesnt matter.
