Thank you so much David for confirming that, I've tested it on Pdparty and it seems that issue is kinda coming from there, I restarted it and it played array 2 and 3 but didnt play array 1 even though it's printing well, I've sent an e-mail to the developer to get some further insights.
    many thanks

thanks a lot David it seems to work but could you please take a look, I've also modified the expr function, however now I keep getting the error expected float got a bang but I dont seems to point where the issue is exactly_main-soundwalkt_degrees_minutes.pd

So now since I'm getting the lat value, is there a way to split it into degrees, minutes , and seconds? I've been trying few methods but I'm still getting the lat as a decimal value..

@whale-av thank you so much, makes it much clearer now, I'm going to try that again.
and for now I think I've finally figured out how to get the coordinates numbers to print as floats so that I can try to work on them. thanks to this threat Symbol to float conversion

and here is the patch so far _ffnumbers.pd.zip

    @whale-av

    Hello David,
Thank you so much for the screenshot and the patch, it's triggering the playback perfectly however I'm still trying to find out how to make it read it based on the lat , lon numbers automatically.

The patch currently on the laptop triggers the sound sample non-stop however when I move it pdparty, the console is still detecting that location is enabled but the sound doesn't seem to be connected to the lat, lon number boxes

    many thanks,

    Tamer

thank you! yes, I've found that patch I was trying somehow to learn it backward I wanted to know how to build it, specially that I wanted to try to play at first with the info coming from the lat, lon and accuracy only _latlon_1.pd.zip

I've figuered it out at last now I'm trying to get some playback triggered based on those location points for exam ple to playback that audio between the coordinates x to x1 and so on.
    Anythoughts?

@whale-av I've came across this patch and it's working fine however I've been trying to replicate it (to modify it to fit my project further" but for some reason I cant break it down

thank you so much for the links, so I'll try to describe clearer what happened so far,

that's a screenshot of the only patch so far that showed me message on the console that "Pd. location enabled" however I was yet unable to see any readings from the GPS coordinates.

    image.png

also I've been getting so mixed information related to how I should write the objects for example to receive from GPS should it be [r locp or [r #loc] or [r #_loc] also to unpack the functions is it 3 values or 9 values?

I've been also told that I cannot get the readings as numbers directly that's why I've used {r _lat _lon _accuraccy} I tried to as receive symbol from the properties of the number box for the lat, lon, accuracy but still couldn't get the numbers to appear.

the patch from this link https://github.com/rjdj/rjlib/blob/master/rj/r_%23loc-help.pd looks different I've tried also to follow it

and it showed me nothing on the console at all, in the help file the object is written as [r_#loc] showed an error "couldnt create" I've added a space after the r so it became [r _#loc] but that's showing nothing on the console.

thanks for taking the time to look into it, really appreciated.

    Dear all,

I've been searching extensively for resources related to reading GPS data on monmuplat /pdparty
I'm currently working on a project (soundwalk) where I would like to create a patch that triggers playback audio based on GPS location I would also like to create some generative audio layers that would be also triggered by GPS and "Noise peaks" (to read the surrounding noice and trigger it at certain threshold.
currently on Pdparty when I open the console I can see the location is enabled, however I'm still struggling getting GPS readings on pdparty.
    Would really appreciate your help,
