    hi,

i would like to create an interface for all my abstractions for live input.
the thing i cannot find out, is how to create dinamically chained functions.

for example, i have X actions - pitch modulation, looper, reverb, sequencer etc.

what would be the most logical way to create a dynamic dataflow to pass data in different order to these objects, - and also edit the order - with a midi controller?

    for example

raw sound input -> pitch tracking -> controlling a sequencer

    or

raw sound input -> pick short samples -> time-streching

    thank you!

    hi,

    a simple question:

what is the way to count the wavelength of an osc~ wave?
or, actually, not the wavelength, but the length of the wavelength in an array (if i write it to one)

i want to resize the array to the wavelength of the signal, so i can fool around with looping exactly 1 cycle

    thanks guys

    Hi

i am sending an array from flash to pd

    waveData = [-150,-150,-150 etc];

when it arrives to pd, it looks like:

    symbol waveData
    symbol -150\\,-150\\,-150\\ etc

    what are the backslashes?
how can i transform this into a pd graphic array?
    dont get it....

    thanks

    hi.

do you think its possible to separate vocals from syllables in speech (realtime)?
or - basically just get parts from the speech-flow which a speaker is able to hold out for a long time (like S sound, M, but not K or T)

    thanks, krisztián

    hi.

im thinking about contributing with something to the development of pd since a time.
especially since i started to use vvvv (http://vvvv.org) too.

im an artist/designer from hungary, working a lot with interfaces, and i really love to use pd. however i think the user interface logic needs a lot of development too.

if you check out vvvv as an example (object options popup as you type object names, input pins which are good connections for the patchchord what you are dragging at the moment get a pointer, inspektor, the entire helpful design of it) i see that that interface helps newbies much more in explorations.

my knowledge of C is quite close to zero.

would there be anyone who would be interested in collaborative thinking/working on this sometimes?

    hallo

do you know about existing ways to filter out JUST human speech from the auditory field?

i think it should be possible to recognize voice, and avoid noise/music etc. from a room.
    is there an existing way?

    thanks,

    krisztian

    thanks,

so in case of a 440 hz osc signal and pd samplerate set to 44100
the wavelength(the length of the ) is 100 for a full A note?

i made up by myself that i have to format the array differently, so i did

    msgArg = waveData.join("_");

    before sending it from flash.

the way i reuse it is probably idiotic, but thats what i had brain for yesterday.

    thanks guys

yes, this sounds logical for me too...thanks

i was thinking about using some speech analysis too anyway --- if there is some vocals translatable, then i keep the sample...

hi. no, i don´t want to write melodyne in pd :)
just to start recording sound in an exhibition room, when someone talks.
if theres just noise, steps, coughing etc, i dont want to record.
the question is, if there´s a way to know if a soundsample IS human voice, or not.
i don´t even want to trace text from speech- just to know is something is speech or not.

    hmmm.
