Apologies for any delay getting back to you.
I downloaded about half the externals from the "find externals" page.
Also I changed the prefferences for the
"install extras to directory"
And I downloaded your two objects:
but it won't let me copy ad paste them into the home/computer/pd-externals folder, saying:
Extraction not performed You don't have the right permissions to extract archives in the folder “extra”
How come i have downloaded all these externals and it still doesn't recognise "inv" or "output~"
Any help much apprieciated.
Just for reference the extra folder path is:
@whale-av Thank you that is so helpful.
Where do I copy and paste the extracted zip files into?
Is it the "extra" folder?
Where exacty is the "extra" folder?
Many thanks again for all help.
@whale-av Thanks thats great.
Will install those libraries tomorrow and let you know.
Are there and other libraries that I should install?
Especially concidering I am hoping to learn 3D graphics and video/multimedia for live performance.
@whale-av I have read http://puredata.info/docs/faq/debian but all I get is this:
sudo apt-get install pd-extended Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Package pd-extended is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source
Can some one help?
As for the Deken download:
Commencing downloading of: http://puredata.info/downloads/deken/releases/0.4.1/deken-plugin-v0.4.1--externals.zip Into /home/computer/pd-externals... = 44% = 89% = 100% Successfully unzipped deken-plugin-v0.4.1--externals.zip into /home/computer/pd-externals.
But then in the Pd window I get:
priority 6 scheduling failed; running at normal priority GEM: Graphics Environment for Multimedia GEM: ver: 0.93.3 GEM: compiled: Nov 11 2015 GEM: maintained by IOhannes m zmoelnig GEM: Authors : Mark Danks (original version) GEM: Chris Clepper GEM: Cyrille Henry GEM: IOhannes m zmoelnig GEM: with help by Guenter Geiger, Daniel Heckenberg, James Tittle, Hans-Christoph Steiner, et al. And I downloaded your two objects but where do I put them?
It would be better to install the whole libraries than just insert one or two at a time.
Thanks for any help.
Pd-vanilla appears in synaptic package manager but not pd-extended.
The book i'm learning from lists objects like:
Which don't work in Pd-vanilla.
How can I download pd-extended on Linux Mint?
