so, ideally this patch would be able to play an audio file and have me change the temperament in real time.
That is a tall order, I understand. I am new to this and don't have much time.
If I could take midi input and change the temperament, I would be very very pleased. I don't need to modify it in real time, but that would be a plus.
Is there a patch or an object that I should begin with? Is there a simple way?
Thanks!

hey there y'all.
I have a show on Tuesday and I'm struggling to get this patch working!
It's just four oscillators, set to run randomly, within parameters set by my midi controller.
there's a metronome in there., but I don't think it's causing the trouble. but what do I know, I'm a n00b. and I wrote this patch when I was even a n00ber.
There's this digital artifact. A rhythm that never changes, but changes intensity depending upon the volume of the patch and the pitch of the tones. The rhythm increases when the pitch is lower. I made a recording of it using my h4, but I'm having trouble attaching it, so I'm just attaching the patch for right now, I'll try and upload the sound somewhere.
This didn't happen when I ran the patch normally, but I decided to run it out of the third output of my focusrite saffire so that I can isolate the signal from the other patches I'll have running.
Help?!
Another thing...
The sound decreases when I hit a contact mic that's plugged into my mixer, but if I mute the contact mic's channel, or unplug it, the sound remains unchanged. What the darn?!
struggling man I am.

Hey y'all!
Help me out here?
I'm trying to grab the number that the aftertouch is at at a given interval of time.
Unfortunately, metro against spigot is letting in more than one number. It seems that if I hook up a toggle to the output of metro, the toggle opens the spigot for a length of time that is proportionate (feels like 1/5ish?) to the time that the metro is operating at.
Upon realizing this, I set up a bang and delay to manually open and close the spigot (shown in attachment).
Apparently, this system disables anything but a changing number from moving through the spigot. Consequently, if I am not touching the aftertouch, it does NOT output zero, as it should. Relatedly, if I have the aftertouch fully engaged at 127, it does NOT output 127.
I'm sure there's a better way to do this.
Ladies and gentlemen?
Please help!

straight-ahead 10 voice sine wave synth using what I believe to be natural temperament.
the frequencies I got I derived from some guess and check and logic in prime ratios.
CRITIQUE IT!
Tell me where I was too verbose and complicated. Tell me where I was wrong.
Help me!

Alright, so I've got these two faders connected to midi.
they are doing what they should effectively, but I'd like the left fader to move when I move the right fader.
Any ideas?

how do I fix this so that I get all the signals while still using the send function?
also, please be kind. this is me just starting out and experimenting.

How do I turn a particular notein into a bang?
I'm looking to turn key 76 on channel 2.
Please help!
Thanks!

Here's a few things that I feel could be cleaner:
the [line] function for reducing noise when an osc turns on. It's not extremely effective, I know there must be a better way.
the [packel] being used to designate the multiplier for the octave changes. I just couldn't quite imagine the math I needed for that. for ten different octaves it wasn't a big deal to just write in the multipliers, but it'd be nice to know the math.
the seeming redundancy on the poly.pd patch. It's fine by me, I reckon, but is there a simpler way to facilitate polyphony than copying the osc for every voice? which maybe doesn't result in having limited voices?
Also, does somebody who knows the ratio set for natural temperament want to check my math? it seems odd to me that the fourth is the most distant ratio. I also fear that my 7th might be flat. I'll post my ratio math in a second...

It actually allowed me to fix other things in my patch that I didn't know were related! I'm glad it helped, too.

I KNEW there had to be an easier way!
That is so simple!
Thank you so much!!!

I've found that by adding a bang I can get (unreliably) one number sent through.
Can somebody, please, though, show me how to do this properly?!
Thanks so much!

Maybe I should explain their functionality.
There is an oscillator playing random frequencies and I have two faders determining the upper and lower limits of the available frequencies.
The right fader is the lower limit and the left fader is the upper limit. Hold on, I'll repost what I have more entirely.

nah, that's not the functionality that I'm going for, but I think I'm pleased with the way I have it working. Out of curiosity, though, it'd be great if a veteran could tell me I did it in a clean way.
