    hello,

first post here after lots of learning and lurking....

i want to create a set of lfos for a hardware synth i am making with several daisy seed ucontrollers. they use the heavy compiler, so IT ALL NEEDS TO BE VANILLA. but thats good for me - i am learning the basics still.

i want to have continuous change and variability of the shape, and slope and duty cycle, and eventually gang multiple lfos, to do more complex things modulating one another. but first things first. at first, ideally, i wanted to morph between shapes - triangle, saw, sine, square, pulse - and morph between duty cycles (mostly high mostly low) - and do it all continuously via a couple of knobs. i couldn't work out how to do that, so now i have 4 controls - for frequency, slope, duty, and smoothness. i really want to continuously change these parameters, so that i can modulate them with other signals, and really open up some tangled sonic possibilities....

what i have got, because i am only learning, and because its just vanilla, is this patch, that allows me to continuously vary the frequency, the symmetry of the up vs down slope of the wave, the overall duty cycle of the wave, and the sharpness of the wave (bewteen sine-ish and square-ish). this is all good and usable, but i am wondering if anyone knows a better patch for this, or a way to go about making one. am i doing this stupidly? is there a better way? i spend hours banging my head in the wrong direction sometimes....

but pd is great. loving it. : )
