So I am trying to figure out how to use a slider to determine which sample is in use in a granular synth. I'm sure there must be a way but its been a while since I've been using pd and I can't work it out!
In vaguegly psuedo code terms i'm thinking something like:
If slider is between 0 - 25 send bang to message 1
If slider is between 26 - 50 send bang to message 2
If slider is .......etc etcAny ideas/help is greatly appreciated
Best,
Joe

@EEight Thanks for this, very helpful indeed. I am slightly confused as to what I need to download from this page though (as well as how to install it: http://grrrr.org/data/dev/ext/macos/pd/
@cskonopka This looks lovely, thanks for the response. Node js is downloading right now
@whale-av A real drag indeed! Fortunately I do have a raspberry pi, so I will pursue that line of inquiry and see where it leads seeing as it may be much easier than swimming against the tide of OSX. Many thanks!

Hello @EEight thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately I'm working in OSX and not Linux so I don't think I'll be able to use your patch. It does look great though!
I get the following message in the PD window when trying to load it:
[import]: can't load library in 'py'
pyext rssparser fetch
... couldn't createIn the meantime I will keep trawling google for alternative means, I'm sure there must be a way!
Thanks a lot your help

Hello everyone I'm new here and this is my first post.
So I'm trying to take realtime satellite coordinates from http://www.satview.org/?sat_id=37820U so I can generate sound in PD with it for a university project - Space music
Also what is the best way to send midi out of a patch??
Any hints or tips on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks,
Joe
