The terminal call is correct, the issue is that the predefs.h file seems to have been moved (or removed) in Jessie. This issue did not occur in Wheezy, so it must have been a change that was made.

Thank you for your input! I did try your suggestion and many other permutations of the command.

I have made sure everything is up to date on the Raspberry Pi. When I try to run the command "sudo make -f makefile.gnu install" I am returned:

make: *** No rule to make target '/usr/include/arm-linux-gnueabihf/bits/predefs.h', needed by 'g_canvas.o'. Stop.

It would appear the issue is that the predefs.h file isn't where it should be, or isn't on here at all.

Has anyone run into this issue?

I am currently working on a project where I am sonifying weather data and intend to use GEM for a visual aspect to go with the sound. The project is fully automated on a Raspberry Pi 2.

After looking around the net, I saw that Raspbian Jessie (the build I'm currently using) had implemented an experimental OpenGL. However, when I go to enable it, I cannot find the option. Without detecting OpenGL headers, the Pi will not install GEM.

Has anyone gotten GEM running on Raspbian on the Pi?
