added the vebose still comes up with

Both of them are 64bit I just checked. Added the file you suggested and i do have the gem_fileAVI.dll . sadly the same error occurs.
I reloaded the PD extended version i can get it display video which is good but is liable to crashing as appose to the latest PD build so would love to get it working on that! Anything else I could try?

Thanks for your reply, so I ended up updating pure data and have installed the k-lite codec tried both .mov and .avi files and also installed quicktime. Although I no longer have the same error its comes up with

[pix_film]: unable to open file: D:/Documents/Pure Data/PSSEB/climate breakdown.avi

finding it rather tedious my OS is windows 10
any idea whats happening?

Hi I am trying to make a video mixer with GEM in PD extended when ever it try to open any video file I get the same error message

Unable to connect filters -2147220969

does anyone know what this means?
