Here are some tracks I have made in Pure Data. It would be great to get some feedback on them.

If anyone has any ideas on how I could make these better or anything I would be very interested, any criticism at all would be very helpful.

    I have read this:

    http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2005-07/029545.html

and followed the instructions, but Logic keeps crashing, and does not output midi notes all of the time (they sort of come in clusters). It has been very laggy and inaccurate.

    Any ideas?

Thor thinks it might be a bug with Logic or something.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

when I want to open a new sequenced composition to mix it with a composition that is already playing there is a short gap of silence as the composition loads. This is the only problem I have ever had with pure data. Is there any way that this problem could be eradicated in the next version? Or is there a better way of doing things that I am missing.

One way I have though about would be to have all of the files for the entire set open from the start, but some of the sends and receives are the same and therefore I would not be able to play the track properly as it would control other parts that I did not want to add in until later. I am willing to change all of the sends and receives to be unique if this is the only way, but it would be very useful if someone could try and get around this problem by changing the source code.

Any help would be much appreciated.

ah thankyou very much! That is very helpful.

I said I was using midiin in the 7th post, " But using midiin in pure data I am only getting values of 0 and 80 momentarily."

    All working now.

Thankyou ever so much for all of your help, I can't thank you enough.

I have found out what the problem was after some searching and speaking to people on the Logic forums.

I managed to get it to work with notein, not midiin. The left outlet of midiin appears to have been sending out the velocity value, not the note value. I assumed that it was sending out the note value and that was something wrong with Logic.

So not a problem with Logic, a problem with Pure Data, my mistake. It would have been good if somebody could have noticed that I was using midiin however, are other people using midiin successfully or notein?

I think the problem is with Logic, I will have a look around.

I am proud to say that I own all of my software. Which doesn't consist of a massive amount. This is why I love pure data!

Half of the problem was that the notes were overlapping. Now the only problem is that every note on the piano roll comes out at 80. Does anyone know why this is? When I change the note velocity the pitch changes.

Incredible! Love the picture of the reverb algorithms. How long did it take you to make that? And what did you have to have an understanding of?
