Hi list,

I want to have a motion detected photo camera which takes picture if someone stands in front of the camera.
Using pix_video feed to pix_write creates a 1 byte tif file.
Do you have any idea why it does not make a usable file?
I am on Mac OS X.10

Update,

sometimes it makes a readable file with 2,6 megabyte size but than completely goes wrong and the next files are just 1 byte size.

Check out the patch in the attachment, just change the path before bang for snapshot.

I'm not sure but I think there has been a discussion on the list about this and [pix_writer] was mentioned (iirc in order to substitute [pix_write], but I might be wrong). I just created a [pix_writer] but even though the object is being created couldn't a help patch, only through Pd-l2ork's Gem->help directory (which I haven't managed to install, it's just sitting there with its files), so I'm attaching it here pix_writer-help.pd
