At the risk of sounding a little naive - Has anyone out there created an object that wraps audio units? If not, then is there a reason why? Theres a VST external (for PC only ?!?)

I would find it very handy for one,but i bet theres countless others out there that could benefit. For example, you could add a BlueTubes compressor or some other mastering plugin to the output to do all in the box

Or, open a softsynth and send midi to it or transport info without have to use flaky IAC buses....
