Hi,

I'm trying to trigger a sound when 'A0' input value from Arduino is equal 15. The comport and conditional case are working well, but the sound starts playing over and over again when the number stays at 15,without letting the sound play until its end. How can I make it sound until the end, before it triggers again?

This is probably because you are receiving more than one 15 in a row, and so the playing process is starting over again. If you are using pd-extended, you can use the object [change] to solve this: change will ignore repeated numbers, but let through different ones. If you are on vanilla, then you can try to construct something equivalent to [change] using some conditionals.

Oh, one more thing (I think I may have written something wrong here): apparently [change] is also available on pd vanilla, so you can use it regardless of your pd distribution. Sorry for the confusion.

It did the work, but it was a little unstable when was close to the value (15), so I mapped the numbers coming from A0 to 1 and 0. I don't know if it's too not-elegant, but it did the job.

@etab Maybe slightly more elegant would be to use a conditional such as [expr if (($f1 >=7)&&($f1<=12), 1, 0)] (which translates to: if input is between 7 and 12, output is 1, else output is 0) so that the logic is a bit more clear than using [maxlib/scale] (which will transform your integer into a float) followed by an [int], but hey!, if it works
