Hi everyone,

My brain is fried ! I have created a patch with four toggles. My counter in the patch counts up when each toggle is pressed and stores each numeric value (for each toggle) in the array 0$-triggercount. When each toggle is de-selected the value 0 is then placed in the array.

However, I want to able be able to de-select a toggle and then select it again and have the original numeric value resorted for that toggle in the array - a placeholder value. At the moment with the current system I'm using, the wrong value is placed (one too high) when a toggle is re triggered.

Ok, I kind of see what you want to achieve here, sorry for my misunderstanding. So you want each toggle to have a kind of "ID", and you want the ID of the last activated toggle to be displayed? But on top of that, you don't want to associate an "ID" manually to the toggles, but you want it to be according to the order they were first clicked?

So what about this? It will add an ID from 1 to 4 for the toggles according to the order you first click on them. Then the last toggled which was turned ON will be displayed in the top right. If the last action was to turn a toggle OFF, then a 0 will be displayed:

Hi gsagostinho, it's getting close. When the four toggles are clicked on (for the first time), then a [counter] will determine their 'placeholder' values i.e 1,2,3,4 (on hte first clicked order).

Then once the toggles have been click on (for the first time), the user needs to click a toggle off again, this should produce a 0. When that same toggle is click on again it's original 'placeholder' value should reappear. Until the user click ALL toggles off again the system will re set all placeholder values to 0 and the system is really to start again.

Basically, I simply added an equation that checks if all toggles are equal to 0. If they are, I reset the counter and reopen all spigots.

@rjp9 That's indeed super handy! [trigger] can use:

• bang or b
• float or f
• list or l
• symbol or s
• anything or a
• pointer or p

You can also already attribute values to trigger. For instance, if you bang [trigger 1 2] it will output a number 1 from the first outlet and a number 2 from the second outlet. You can also combine it in crazy ways, such as [trigger 1 float 2 3]. If you send a number such as 42 to this trigger, it will output 1 42 2 3, one from each outlet.
