So, one CAN open and see PDF's appropriately in GEM. Right? It is working for me. So, why does that not seem to be stated here on the message boards. There seems to be many restrictions as to what can and cannot be opened.

In other news, is there a way on a canvas to open an image from a pdf? Or can it only be done in a place like GEM?

I think that opening images on a canvas is quite a limited thing with Pd. Using [image], you can open some few formats such as gif, but not jpeg nor png, for instance. As far as I know that is not possible with Pd (but I may be wrong here).
