Hi all.

So I've been running Pd-extended (0.43.4) on my Macbook Pro (OS X 10.9.4) for about 10 months now. However, today the application would not launch. After opening, the application bounces on the dock and stays like that. I have no option but to force quit.

I can run Pd-vanilla - but now parts of my patch don't work because I'm using extended objects. The last thing I remember doing in Pd-extended is trying to change the audio settings and then it froze. I've tried uninstalling Pd but this doesn't seem to rectify the problem.

This is really puzzling and I don't know how to repair it. I know there are issues with pd on OS X but mine has been working fine. Any help would be great.

Hi Chris,

I was having the same problem. I kind of deleted the earlier pd-extended from Applications and got the newer version (boxed red in the snapshot attached) which you can get here. It worked for me, hope it works for you too.

I have the same problem. Even after repeatedly installing pd like in the above picture it will not open. On my older iMac (OSX 10.6.8) pd is running fine.
